Weather Update:
I have been working with City of Wilmington officials and have made some changes to Sunday’s event due to the below zero wind chill factor and ice and snow on the route. This decision was to shorten the route to a 10k. The route will be a two loop route the same course as the Snowflake 5k.
We will now start and finish in front of the YMCA. The City of Wilmington’s main arteries 11th Street, King Street, Walnut Street, and Delaware Ave are clear of ice. City officials are working on S. Park Drive to Van Buren Street. Both 10k and 5k events will start at the same time ……9:30 am. Sunday morning temperatures will be 4 degrees at 8 am and 10 degrees at 10 am. We will NOT have water stops on the route since it would become an ice stop. Service Mark will have individual bottles of water inside the YMCA. Feel free to take a bottle and carry under your winter gear. Water and Gatorade will be available inside the Y following the race.
Thank you for your patience on our response. Our number one concern is the safety of the participants and the safety of our volunteers.

Race Time
7:30am- Registration opens
9:30am- Both the shortented 10 miler (10k) and 5k start
Saturday, Jan. 6th from 4:00p-5:00pm – Packet pickup and registration at Central YMCA Wilmington Room OR Sunday morning 7:30am to 9:15am.
Post race party will be at Mikimoto’s after the race located behind the Central YMCA.
Entry Info
NO walkers allowed in 10 Miler for your own safety. Course time limit 2:20.

Entry fee-
Ten Miler- $60 pre-registration until the Thursday before the race at noon / $65 after and day of event
5k- $30 pre-registration until the Thursday before the race at noon / $35 after and day of event
Both- $65 pre-registration until the Thursday before the race at noon / $70 after and day of event

Course
NEW USATF certified course starts and finishes at the Central Y. Water stations at miles 2.25, 4.25, 7.25 and 9.5. Water and Gatorade will be available at registration and finish line.
