To raise awareness of ovarian cancer. To raise funds for education and awareness throughout the year. Course: Due to road construction we will use a new route measured by Doug White. "Run \ walk against domestic violence and support Child Inc.'s programs to help victims." Course: New route starting on bridge at Ray Street in Newark running around Christiana Towers and back to the bridge. Continue to Creek Road to turn around with finish at bottom of hill on Creek Road. Course measured by Doug White. Route changed due to road construction. New route USATF certified. Mary is now a senior at the University of Delaware who suffered a spinal cord injury in January 2002. All proceeds from this event will be used to help the Husty family deal with the extraordinary financial challenges associated with spinal cord injuries. Course: Due to road construction on Creek Road we will have a new out and back course in use for this event measured by Doug White. Start will be near registration with same finish line as in the past. USATF certified. Course map Amenities: Tee shirts and refreshments. West Street behind the new AAA Building and next to Juniper Bank on the Riverfront. Directions Benefits The RGW Foundation scholarships and children's outreach. Legacy: On August 9, 2002 Ronald G. Williams, Jr. passed away and the legacy he left behind is on of Faith, Family, and Duty. All of these made up the 'man of character' that we all knew Ron to be. In the wake of that August day, his family and friends established the Ronald G. Williams, Jr. Foundation to both honor, and pass on this legacy. With the donations of time, finances and heart, we are now able to help young people follow their dreams and equip them with the strength of character it will take to achieve their goals. Ron had a dream of one day being a law enforcement officer and he, with determination and faith, accomplished that dream. The RGW Foundation would like to help others with a dream reach heights they may not have been able to otherwise.
